Privacy Policy

Under the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) 2018 you have the following rights

  • The right to be informed.
  • The right of access (please make a request in writing to Helen Scott). You will be provided the information within 30 days of receipt. You have the right of rectification if you believe the information is incorrect and to request changes. 
  • The right of erasure. There is a requirement to hold details for 7 years, after this they will be securely destroyed.
  • The right to restrict processing and that information is used as described above. 
  • The right of confidentiality. Please note that public safety outweighs confidentiality. If the therapist has reason to believe that the failure to disclose to wider authorities would cause serious harm to self or others then those agencies (incl GP) would be contacted and information shared on a ‘need to know ‘basis. Information may have to be disclosed without consent for the detection or prosecution of a crime. 
  • The right to data portability: your information will not be shared without your specific consent, other than as described above
  • The right to object. You will not be contacted for marketing purposed unless you give specific consent to do so.
  • The right not to be subject to automated decision making, including profiling: your information will not be used for profiling purposes.
